Musing
Shes watched a million suns and moons rise. Her beautiful courtyard so full of life, of people and exotic plants, now lay in ruins. What did she think as the desert sands and searing sun dissolved the grandeur of her Ancient Egyptian world? Day after week after month after year, for ages, she has watched time slowly erasing her world. I wonder, does she dream of that time? Does she muse about the Lotus of the Nile laid in decoration around her? The nights, lit by flickering torches, when her people danced carefree and unaware of the troubling times to come?
Of course, shes just a statue ~ a beautiful survivor of another world
