2014 ~ A year of many changes and yet the year is still so young.
Already, two paths have been set before me:
one is draped in sadness and fear
~ the loss of loved ones who have passed
~ the uncertainty and fear of eventual job loss
~ a helplessness, spiraling down into darkness and dread
the other is painted in joy and acceptance
~ transcendence of gentle souls to a higher realm
~ the challenge and adventure of a new career
~ to open my eyes and embrace the new life before me
How easy it is to follow the first path, as we are naturally
set there as events unfold.
But I'll take a cue from the time of the year and
like the struggling spring will start anew.
I'll turn a new leaf, face the sun and learn to reach
the brighter tomorrow.
.... at least, that's my plan ...
