When The Smoke Clears They Bloom

As this fractal developed it reminded me of the wildfires of late. The heroes that are the first responders and tragedy they suffered are on every Americans mind. But I also started to think of the unsung heroes - those who without fail and fanfare emerge when the smoke clears. Whether it be a fire event, flood event, tornado or hurricane aftermath, they come out and get to work. We all know these people and to some extent we are these people.. the tweeter who alerts 911... the young couple who checks on an elderly resident across the complex before the storm and after... the restaurant owner that gathers equipment and drives 3 states over to make sure victims are eating... the pennies collected by children to help feed abandoned animals after the hurricane... and the list goes on and on.
These are the Roses that bloom when the smoke clears.
